Our Story

A church that started in a living room

Oakhaven has always been more about people than programs. Here is who we are, what we care about, and what a Sunday actually feels like.

The early days

Since 2006

Ordinary people, an open door

In 2006, a handful of families gathered around a coffee table in Millbrook Crossing, NC with a hope that was easy to say and harder to build: a church where anyone could walk in and feel at home. No insider language, no hoops, just warmth and honesty.

We outgrew the living room, then a rented storefront, and today we gather each week as neighbors from every walk of life. What has not changed is the welcome. People still find their way here looking for community, and they still find it.

We are nondenominational, which for us simply means the table is wide. You are welcome to come, ask questions, and take your time.

What We Value

The heart behind everything we do

Come as you are

No dress code and no perfect record required. You are welcome exactly as you show up today.

Honest and warm

We would rather ask good questions together than pretend we have every answer. Doubt is welcome here.

Better together

We were not meant to do life alone. Real friendship and small groups are the heart of Oakhaven.

Good neighbors

We care about Millbrook Crossing in practical ways, from food drives to volunteer days.
